Affiliation to the Jersey Sailing Trust is by subscription and members need not be a member of any other sailing organisation. The JST can arrange for you as a novice or a member to be included on the St Helier Yacht Club Crew List for which you do not have to contribute any money and simply wait until you are invited to join a crew, however, if you want to go sailing on a regular basis then you are invited to join the Jersey Sailing Trust as a sailing member . Once you are a member you simply need to make sure that your sailing preferences are recorded in the diary and there is at least a £15 credit on your subscription for each day that you wish to go sailing. i.e. if you want to go sailing once a month then you should set up a Standing Order of £15 per month, if you want to go sailing every weekend then you can have a reduced rate of £40 per month. The main condition to these options is that you arrange for the subscription to be paid by Standing Order into the bank account that is maintained for the upkeep of the yachts.
